Dickson Experimental Sound Film William K.L. Dickson 1894 USA A musician plays a violin. Meant to be, and was, played in synchronisation with a recording of a violin, an incredible concept in 1894… Hollywood wouldn't even contemplate integrating pre-recorded sound into films until as late as 1926, for economic reasons more than anything else.
