Newark Athlete William K.L. Dickson 1891 USA An athlete swings/juggles Indian clubs.
Another very early short which, like the Sandow the Strongman film made three years later, was in a very primitive form, using the camera to record an event or a snippet of a performance, which was viewed with a Kinetoscope, an pay-per-view unit for individual people. It is presented like a circus act made intimate by paradox: a distancing, a layering, of the camera, which in turn can be viewed in private without social interaction.
