Rambo: First Blood Part II George Pan Cosmatos 1985 USA John Rambo returns to service to free POWs in Vietnam. Messy as hell, fast-moving sequel, in which a normal war vet pushed to the limits and going on a killing spree stemming from a psychological breakdown has been turned into an all-out action hero, one who can fly helicopters better than Russian pilots and who can fire arrows better than Robin Hood - and they're explosive, too. Some sort of half-hearted romance angle is killed off soon and for good reason, because it comes from nowhere and is going nowhere. The baddies this time round are a nasty Russian and a corrupt US officer - Cold War propaganda, on the one hand, but with a slight level of complexity carried over from, but not expanded upon, the first film.

I think it's very important to note that Rambo only kills one person in First Blood, and that's accidentally in self-defense.
