Just like last year. Between 3 and 5 nominees per category, please, posted publicly. This thread's for discussion, deliberating, recommending, pushing, wondering, and nominating. Final voting, based on the most popular nominees of this thread, will as ever be via PM. Got that? Good. Final nominations are to be submitted before midnight Sunday 28th March. Enjoy and good luck. So...how we do we decide what's eligible. Films IMDB lists as 2009?

Yeah, pretty much. If any ugly heads pop up we'll discuss them.

If there are enough votes for a separate documentary slot, I'm not against it...
All of those above are legit.
I'll post my very limited pool soon.

Okay, here's all I've got to choose from so far, in the order I saw them...
35 Shots of Rum, Public Enemies, Broken Embraces, Fish Tank, Katalin Varga, Le Donk, Chloe, Metropia*, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Up, The Invention of Lying, Bright Star, Where the Wild Things Are, The White Ribbon, Avatar, The Road, A Prophet.
* = this has only been released in Sweden so far; I saw it at the London Film Festival. I'd be happy not to nominate it for anything in the event it gets released this year (and is thus eligible for next year's awards)

I'm adding Two Lovers also, no one nominated it last year and didn't get official release dates in the States, the UK or Oz until 2009.
