Pedro Costa(1959 - )Been dying to see some of his stuff for years and finally managed to take in these films on the big screen recently. Still would love to see The Blood and Colossal Youth. Extremely natural and minimal style, very anti-narrative, almost like cinema as portraiture. In Vanda's Room is one of the medium's great endurance tests.......totally well worth it of course. A potential giant of world cinema who's films i may like even more on second viewing and i have feeling the two i haven't seen are the best ones. Features:1. In Vanda's Room (2000) 8.5/102. Down to Earth (1994) 8/103. Bones (1997) 8/104. Where Lies Your Hidden Smile? (2001) 7/10Shorts:1. Memories (2007) 6/10 (his section only)
