Existential b-westerns with Randolph Scott! Strangely unknown. That has been somewhat remedied recently with the release of the Boetticher-Scott DVD box set (and the accompanying articles on Boetticher and DVD & film reviews) and a little earlier with the Seven Men From Now DVD release and Boetticher documentary on TCM about two or three prior. Before that it was a Boetticher here and there on some movie channels and retrospectives and old VHS. Scorsese deserves major props for putting out the box set and giving a little shine to Boetticher in his A Personal Journey with Martin Scorsese Through American Movies. Ford, Mann, Hawks...Boetticher deserves the same type of name recognition at the very least. Precise and concise filmmaking. Never wasteful with celluloid. Lots of gray in his characters. The Bullfighter and the Lady 2.9/4 Seven Men From Now Ride Lonesome The Tall T 3.75/4 Decision at Sundown Buchanan Rides Alone 2.75/4 Comanche Station The Cimarron Kid 2.75/4 The Man From Alamo

I don't live in the US so wouldn't have a clue about most of the tv showings or releases you mentioned. Lots of gray for sure!
