I have a bit of a dilemma. I so desperately want to order Mirror from Amazon. But in order to qualify for Free Delivery, I have to order another film, and frankly, I'm spoilt for choice...
A Short Film about Killing (seen) Ivan's Childhood (haven't seen) Julien Donkey-Boy (haven't seen) Videodrome and Dead Ringers (seen neither) Crisis (haven't seen) The Seventh Seal (seen)
For now, Korine's film probably intrigues me most. But perhaps I need an external push into actually choosing one for definite...

Julien Donkey-Boy (haven't seen) Videodrome and Dead Ringers (seen neither) Those seem like the best options to me. I won't promise you'll like Julien Donkey-Boy if you disliked Gummo, though. They're not a world apart.

I plan on revisiting Gummo, anyway.

Well, I think they're both incredible.
But so are Dead Ringers and Videodrome. :/

Blessings in disguise. The double-film set of A Woman in Paris and A King in New York was dodgy, with both discs, despite different labels, being the same film ( King). Naturally, I take it back to the store to get it exchanged. Alas, they were out of stock, and won't be getting any more in. (Thankfully, I'd at least watched A King in New York before taking it back). Anyway, after getting my refund, I look round the shop (same one where I got all the Chaplin DVDs and Heimat, remember). So, today, I bought these, for £3.49 each: ...And, for £2.49 each: They also had Funny Games, Crisis, To Joy, Autumn Sonata and The Sweet Hereafter for £3.49. Another visit is due soon, therefore.

I also picked up both of the Short Films About... but not for £3.49(!). Are you going to buy Mirror soon then Capo?

Well, now that I've basically spent £15.45 on five films, I don't know. I wish I knew how long their sales lasted, then I could perhaps wait a little. I once did that with Weekend, though, and it went back to full price soonafter, and it wasn't until a few months after that it came down again. I think I will buy Mirror by the end of the month.

I just bought this from a specialist outlet. Rather pricy, but, hearing Ballard going on and on about how amazingly perfect and revolutionary it is, I have to see it. Quotes like "The 20th Century in film begins with the Lumiere brothers and ends with The Atrocity Exhibition" bode well.

€30. I don't like spending that much on a single film, but it's the only way I can see it.

Just noticed on an earlier page.
"Where The Sidewalk Ends" is a much overlooked Noir classic, one of my favourites, nicely packaged too, wonder if I can find it over here?

Marty. I know for a fact that there is a Region 2 release out there. Not sure which comapny produces it. I'd like to say BFI but Fox probably owns foreign rights. It's pretty much barebones with some text notes and the like... Hell of a beter cover though but the image isn't that sharp. I''ll link you to a comparison if you'd like. On a side note, I piked up this for just $10.99 because off a misprint on a lbel: I also pre-ordered, "Good Night & Good Luck" which should be out on the 14th of March. Gonna run down to the place tomorow and reserve "Capote"
