How about this for a deal Capo.
Thief, Ali, The Last Waltz, No Direction Home, Following
I'll try to post my list of unwatched films later with ones I need to rewatch.
And Wet Dog, if you want a one on one trade, how about Open Your Eyes?
I gotta finish studying but I'll try to get my list on.

How about this for a deal Capo. Thief, Ali, The Last Waltz, No Direction Home, Following. Well, I'll accept all of them when I get this week over. I've also shook hands on watching Lawrence of Arabia by the end of next week with a friend of mine (in return of him watching Dead Man's Shoes), and I also have The Godfather to watch for the Hall of Fame reviews.

These deals are good for motivation to see films. We should also do co-viewings. For instance, I also have Boys Don't Cry to see.
Two members could watch it at the same time and post their proviews.

Well Jake's list is much better than anybody elses. Nice to see someone has some taste.
I hope you guys do stuff apart from watching films. I 'own' copies of about 18 films. Do you guys not live near a video store or are you just trying to beat Tarantino in the film geekiness stakes?

I own around 400 DVDs and love films. In fact people like Scorsese, Mann, and Melville are an inspiration to me to make films.
Then again I guess that means I lack taste.

Vercetti: I'd like to hear what you make of Narc. You watch that, I watch Following...?

I actually wanna see your thoughts on Thief more. I predict at most two stars from you, but I think you'll like it. The only problem I had was the dated slow-motion and post-gunshot falling down effects due to the budget. But if you wanna see Following, go ahead. It's a great film.
I haven't watched Narc yet, due to it being Fullscreen, but since I have nothing to do, I'll pop it in now.
By the way, if I go to Best Buy tomorrow, I might be able to get Gerry. Last time they didn't have it, and I got Last Days instead.

As I've already watched Following, another deal (but be warned, I have Lawrence of Arabia and Nashville to watch tonight/tomorrow):
I'll watch Thief if you watch New York, New York.

I might watch one film today, but I think I'll save 2001 for the end of the week.
I might watch the Hitchcock film tonight. Any other picks from my list?

By the way Capo, was there anything in particular you liked about Thief?
In the Michael Mann thread I posted a pic from the movie that I think is one of the most beautiful images from a Mann film.
