I've seen most of the first two seasons, which is all that has been aired in Holland, and liked it more every week, even though each episode is fairly simple and hardly moving forward, and rather short in my opinion, but that's okay.

This is a very simple show. None of the characters ever change. I have just finished the third season, and here is the flow:
"E" (Eric) is the uptight one who always gets pissed at Vince (the star), but they always make up. And Johnny "Drama" and Turtle are still fucking idiots.
But.....this is one hell of an entertaining show. This is the only show that I can put on with a couple of mates and we drink and smoke and enjoy the hell out of this. If anything, it gives me that. It's pretty funny too, and I love the cameos (especially James Woods).
Ari is one of the best characters ever introduced on a television show. I am just as hyperactive, but am not as quick. "E" is more me; uptight and stressed, yet everything seems to work out.
If you are looking at a close examination of Hollywood culture, you might not find it here (or you might, depending on how cynical you are). But otherwise, this is an entertaining ride.

Not a big fan of this show myself--I think they're a bunch of cheese-dicks, personally--but your synopsis is spot-on. I'm interested in what you mean by "not as quick." Quick as in coming up with witty quips; making fairly obvious comments about the human condition; quicker and more efficient at problem solving? I'm splitting hairs here, granted, but I've wanted to have this conversation with someone for a while now. What's your definition of 'quick?'

What's your definition of 'quick?' Well, in reference to Ari, I was commenting on his quick wit abilities. I can (and often do) run my mouth as fast as he does, but his jokes are fast and hilarious. One episode where he is talking to his Asian assistant, he is upset and says something along the lines of, "If you don't get me (so and so) on the phone in (however many minutes), then I'm going to intern your ass like it's 1942!" And the assistant responds, "But I'm not Japanese!". Offensive or not, I could never come up with something like that.
