Had the whole movie been just the first half, it would be the CITIZEN KANE of animation not only did I think the same thing, I thought so in the exact same terms as you, Arkadyrenko. which bring me to question, what really is the Citizen Kane of animation? if any.

Probably one of the earlier Disney full length flicks. Snow White, Pinnochio, or Fantasia. Personally I think the 2nd one is my favorite, behind most of the Pixar stuff.

which bring me to question, what really is the Citizen Kane of animation? if any. I have to think actually, which animation movie is technically path breaking, but tremendously over-rated

Can be THE SECRET OF NIMH, WINGS OF HONEAMISE or GRAVEYARD OF THE FIREFLIES.
Mind you, the two later movies might make you want to cut your wrists after you watch them.
