I wish there were more films that offered this kind of analysis. If anyone has any recommendations I'd appreciate it. Kieslowski's A Short Film About Killing, Mungiu's 4 Months, 3 Weeks & 2 Days, Samira Makhmalbaf's At Five in the Afternoon and The Apple, Mohamed Makhmalbaf's A Moment of Innocence, Kiarostami's Where Is My Friend's House, Usmonov's Angel on the Right, Vinterberg's Festen. Some of those may be way off; my memory of the Usmonov and At Five in the Afternoon are very shaky indeed. In my experience, a lot of the Iranian cinema that I've seen (not much) works in this way. It may be cheating since it's autobiography, but you might like Che. (And you might not. )
