All, what is the film you are most looking forward to watching at this point? It could be an old film or an unreleased film.
Now: Through a glass darkly by Bergman.

A few rewatches: I Don't Want to Sleep Alone, The Assassination of Jesse James..., Take It Or Leave It.
Public Enemies, which I should be seeing Saturday. It'll be the first film I've watched at the pics since Che Part Two in February. Also, 35 Shots of Rum, and while that's screening at my cinema, they're showing Beau Travail as a one off, too.

Has it been confirmed that the trailer for The Road was made that way on purpose to get more crowd?

Has it been confirmed that the trailer for The Road was made that way on purpose to get more crowd? Well I hope the movie aint that trailer. That trailer is almost everything THE ROAD intended, and the movie too as described by the adapting filmmakers, as anti-ROAD WARRIOR. Then again, look at BLADE RUNNER's trailer from back in the day. It promised an actioneer...and well, thats not what BR is, in any version.

I mean 12 years since James Cameron's last movie movie...and its easily the most anticipated non-sequel/prequel/remake/retake/adaptation in many many years. And more than anything else... we haven't seen shit on it, aside from storyboards and people here and there praising its visuals to the high heavens. Not even a trailer!

But Capo, as you and I know all too well, both our definitions of "shit"....has a gap.

The difference isn't in our definitions, but in the fact that you like shit, and I don't like shit.

Andrei Rublev and The River. ANDREI RUBLEV does certainly sound compelling. I'm getting the supposed monster movie "classic" THEM! on thursday from Netflix. Sounded more appealing at this moment than a Beastie Boys concert-doc. Also need to watch my LORD OF ILLUSIONS disc and send it back tomorrow. I quite liked Clive Barker's HELLRAISER, but Netflix's NIGHTBREED DVD had a fucking crack, so that will be for another time.

i do a bad impersonation of 1930s man...saying stuff like "this dame's gettin fresh" and ending sentences with "see?". Billy Crudup looks to have stolen my idea in Public Enemies. With the exception of that ridiculousness, Im looking forward to it quite a bit.

Though not as great as the five I listed above it, I like Drunken Angel a lot, more than some Kurosawa fans I know.

Oh WEEKEND is greatness, I'm just trying to make a point that opinion=fact is always fool's gold for those who dig for that.
