Haha, now those that I mentioned are supposed to be positive sides or at least intentional on the director/script writer's part? After the first few (surprise) snakes, I basically lost interest and the film did little to regain my interest. You know what I think now? There could have been just a few snakes, maybe 4-5. Imagine that you saw only one of them, but you know that there are 3-4 more of them somewhere in the plane. Take the scenario of an international flight that would go non-stop for say 12 hours. Because of the size of the plane, you cannot find out where the remaining ones are and the flight time is long enough that there is a good chance of encountering one somewhere unexpectedly. That could have made some decent drama, the fear and chaos. An unending supply of stupid(fake) looking snakes is boring after a while.

That description (good point, too) reminds of The Descent.

Are we going to have a poll for 2007 list? Not that I am particularly happy with 2007 movies or even seen that many as last year, still curious.

And why is FCM awards linked to Oscars? I am sure a majority of us feel that Oscars aren't doing any justice to great movies, even though they may be the most popular of all awards.

I think we like to square off against the Academy and feel our results are superior - and they are.
Stuff that's been given release dates here that I must see before I can make any kind of attempt at evaluating the cinema year (really a May-to-April calendar for me) includes: Youth Without Youth, Silent Light, I'm Not There, Paranoid Park, Don't Touch the Axe, Lust, Caution, 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days, No Country for Old Men, Sweeney Todd, There Will Be Blood, Margot at the Wedding, My Blueberry Nights, Flight of the Red Balloon, Diary of the Dead, Mister Lonely, Redacted, You, the Living and Son of Rambow.
That takes me up to the end of March.
And it doesn't even account for The Man from London, The Banishment, Nightwatching, Funny Games, Chaotic Ana, Ploy, Useless, Encounters at the End of the World, An Old Mistress, Breath, The Romance of Astrea and Celadon, Alexandra, Puffball, A Man Comes Home, Snow Angels, The Mist, Christopher Columbus, the Enigma, plus a bunch of other eligible films on my to-see list.

Would you like to see a stream of Redacted now, or are you holding out for the big screen?
I'm Not There might be my most anticipated film.

I actually already have Redacted downloaded. I was waiting for the big screen, but they've just announced a March 21st release, which is thoroughly taking the piss when the film's already out on DVD and HDnet.

I would dig to see REDACTED, just to see what's pissed off Bill O'Reilly, le duh douchebag of our times. Care to....provide me mate? I want to see I'M NOT THERE, though someone I know that did see it liked the movie, but FUCKING HATED the Richard Gere segment . Of course the same guy liked M:I 3, so take that as you will.
