I thought you'd like Wolves; I've only seen the first half, shown to us in class. I found it far too artificial for its symbolism and metaphors to ring convincingly.
I have The Butcher Boy ready to go.

I loved the set-bound artificiality and the deliberately hammy acting. Considering pretty much every werewolf film has exactly the same plot based around identically shallow mythologies, I found it refreshing to see a film take advantage of what has obviously always been a symbolic creature and use it as a metaphor for sexual awakening. I'd recommend watching the whole thing, its final moments are incredible.
I'm dubious about my rating of Interview with the Vampire. It's been years, and I'm not sure I'd like it as much on a rewatch.

I loved the set-bound artificiality and the deliberately hammy acting. Angela Lansbury has the uncanny ability to sink just about any film she stars in. I find her unbearable. Still, borrowing a copy is easy for me, and I will see it in full soon.
