Slitch Dianne Bellino 2000 USA
A teenage girl's summer of lust over several men, including a nerdish surfer.
Bellino's kitschy short aspires to and achieves a simple, effective, unsettling honesty in its portrait of teenage blossoming sexuality, found in the form of a lonely if self-assured girl who cycles nonchalantly listening to her iPod and blowing bubbles with her gum. The director's clearly a fan of Su Friedrich, conveying character thought by scribbling words onto the film strip, and there's a deliberate sense of over-acting on everybody's part.

I saw this, by the way, on the R2 DVD of Old Joy.

Capo, an interesting take on this subject is Catherine Breillat's "A real young girl".
