How do you know my review of that film word for word? I don't remember posting it. I'M IN YOUR MIND... ...or it's in this thread.

Oh yeah, ha. Anyway, just rewatched Seven. Still undecided. His top two are fantastic films.
I love a) how wide a filmic vocabulary he seems to have, b) how willing he seems to be to employ such varied vocabulary, c) how "clean" his films look (even the morbidity of Seven is presented in lush, stylistic pans similar to De Palma), and d) how sophisticated he seems to be in using CGI, compared to others.

So I'm the only one here who hated Zodiac? Every year I find myself totally at odds with the overwhelming enthusiasm of the board for some movie that I think was just average. I didn't hate Zodiac. In fact I found it to be generally decent. But nowhere near the hype(don't pounce on me guys) that it has received from this board. Similarly, Children of Men and another movie whose name I forget (it was about a big monster roaming in new york) got a lot of praise here, but I can't see any merit in them. Preparing to get gang-raped by the board

I wouldn't mind seeing the alternate cut of Alien³.
It'll be funny too if Ness turns out to be better than Seven, making his top three films a serial killer/police procedural trilogy.

I've always pronounced "Alien³" like "alien three", but I heard someone call it "alien cubed" a while back.
That would be a really stupid title, but it is the way it's written.
Anyone know the correct pronunciation?

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button had so much potential. Fincher shat all over it.
I thought filmmakers were supposed to keep improving and maturing with time? Benjamin Button's backwards growth is like a manifestation of Fincher's career.

Re-watched Zodiac last night. Misjudged it terribly the first time. It is indeed quite good.
