How is Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer? I've wanted to see it for a long time.

The uncensored cut is incredible. The censored cuts aren't just truncated, some pivotal scenes are doctored so as to totally deaden their impact, deliberately.
It's a really disturbing film, on par with Man Bites Dog (1991), which it's quite similar to. It begins with several soon-to-be crime scenes, murder victims documented between their death and their discovery - a powerfully cinematic opening. Then we get a matter-of-fact portrayal of the life of a modern serial killer, and the ending couldn't be more perfect or subversive.
McNaughton said that when he debuted the film in 1989, one critic told him, "You can't do this. You can't just show a serial killer and not have a good guy, not have some cop chasing him."
Oh well... ;D
