1. Beau travail Good Work (1999) 2. L'Intrus The Intruder (2004) 3. Vendredi soir Friday Night (2002) 4. Trouble Every Day (2002) Supremely talented woman. The final scene of Beau Travail is one of the greatest things I have ever seen.

(In response to a deleted post):
Well, L'intrus certainly left me bewildered and frustrated the first time I saw it.
Beau travail was my first Denis; mid-2004, I think, before I knew who she was. Also frustrating, bewildering. I haven't seen it since and my high rating of it is only a revised memory.
I think Vendredi soir is her most accessible.

(In response to a deleted post):
I find "accessible" problematic, perhaps even condescending and snobbish. Accessible to whom, to what kind of viewer? I think people who would like Denis' and her films would find a suitable window in any of the four I've seen. That's assuming that the people are all like me, with the same sort of approach to art, themes, etc. That assumption is the only way I can recommend films these days. I find myself increasingly disappointed in trying to convert people to certain films or styles.
But, to allow for the question even so: I'd go with Beau travail for males comfortable about their sexuality, Trouble Every Day for arthouse fans and goths, L'intrus for fans of puzzles and puzzling films, and Vendredi soir for any woman who's gone through the hesitance preceding a commitment to marriage... or, simply, a drizzly night in the city.

The final scene of Beau Travail is one of the greatest things I have ever seen. Agreed. The dance in the dark room with blinking lights? Didn't do much for me.

It's immensely liberating and tragic, all at once. I felt so relieved for him, and so heartbroken.

Oh, Friday Night a/k/a Vendredi Soir.
No doubt. --Omar
I'm real curious to see what you think of that one then we'll proceed from there. It's lovely. To me, anyway.

Jean-Luc Nancy's essay, L'intrus, is available as a PDF file. It should be the second hit in a Google search for "jean-luc nancy l'intrus." It's from the site influxus.org.
