The categories with the least votes were Best Leading Female and Worst Film, each with eight. As it happens, perhaps tellingly, I was surprised and disappointed with the Ellen Page winning the former. As far as all the other categories go, I'm pleased. Very glad Fincher got Best Director; I would have given Zodiac Best Mise-en-scène over TWBB, too, and would have given Blanchett the nod over Swinton. Overall, I voted for 12 of the final winners.
Next year, we may want to think about making the initial nominations process private, too.

If others don't object, I may also post the voting tables, to see who voted for whom.

Oh yeah. I don't look with as much scrutiny between my Excel and Mozilla windows when I get to the bottom of the lists.
Thanks.

I think Zodiac is deserving of Best Mise-en-scene, but I liked TWBB's better b/c of PTA's blocking.

I'm disappointed with Greenwood's win.
(Make the votes public, I say. Name and shame.)

my votes are no state secret either. anonymous nominating may be more fun, yes, but we should keep the "recommendations" thread, if only for inspiration. If I counted right (and I did it quickly), Greenwood's 8 out of 9 was the biggest win (??) The only surprise for me was Zodiac getting 7 out of 10 for Best Visual Effects, because in that film the CGI was supporting and usually such awards go to movies where effects play a more important part. not saying it is undeserving though. I voted for Page too There Will Be Blood is the big winner - 7 awards Zodiac - 3 The Coward Robert Ford - 2 I'm Not There - 2 The others, including No Country For Old Men: 1 award

Look at how much in common you have with the other members. The number indicates the number of common votes in all the categories put together. These take into consideration only the initial votes and not the tie-breaker ones, as they are not original choices | oma | cap | rra | wet | kin | boz | svs | phe | bob | jro | oma | | 9 | 6 | 4 | 9 | 2 | 7 | 7 | 7 | 6 | cap | 9 | | 8 | 7 | 6 | 5 | 4 | 7 | 7 | 4 | rra | 6 | 8 | | 6 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 5 | 6 | wet | 4 | 7 | 6 | | 2 | 5 | 1 | 3 | 5 | 3 | kin | 9 | 6 | 4 | 2 | | 4 | 4 | 3 | 7 | 8 | boz | 2 | 5 | 3 | 5 | 4 | | 1 | 1 | 1 | 2 | svs | 7 | 4 | 4 | 1 | 4 | 1 | | 7 | 3 | 8 | phe | 7 | 7 | 5 | 3 | 3 | 1 | 7 | | 5 | 6 | bob | 7 | 7 | 5 | 5 | 7 | 1 | 3 | 5 | | 4 | jro | 6 | 4 | 6 | 3 | 8 | 2 | 8 | 6 | 4 | |

I didn't; I've just copied and pasted "Best Supporting Female" into the category slot.
I haven't listen to Cave and Ellis's score since I saw the film. I've had Greenwood high on my listen-to priority on my Zen for ages, though. Sorry, master.

Piffle.
I'm listening to their score for The Proposition right now.
They'd better win next year for The Road or I will be displeased and will require many blood sacrifices.
