Roger Michell (1956- )1. Notting Hill 1999 2. Enduring Love 2004I actually think he might be an overlooked director who's made one popular film. As I said in my proview of Notting Hill, it's very interesting, and has a lot of potential to explore themes with which I might have connected, though I'm not sure if he has the balls to go out and explore them, sacrificing a bit of commerce in order to do so. I remember Enduring Love to be quite interesting, too, but ultimately rather flat. I've had several chances at catching The Mother on TV, and definitely will next time round; it sounds like a challenging film, again full of potential. We'll see...
