(In response to a deleted post):ahh, so you haven't seen at least 10 films of every single year in cinema history 1942 is the year Sam Wood directed "King's Row". Don't know much about that film, can't say that I've seen it either, but what is interesting to note is that its musical score by Erich Wolfgang Korngold was the inspiration for the famous Star Wars theme - if you can find the opening cue of King's Row, which I did, you'll find that it is true. Just a little trivia. kino, your lists will serve as recommendations for my personal movie portfolio. A lot of pre-1970 (or pre-1980 even) years need a lot of filling up on my part, and these Yearly Top Ten lists are a great reference. wetdog's inspired me to see the earlier films of DePalma and Cronenberg, for instance.
