Strike Sergei Eisenstein 1925 My second Eisenstein. His films hold so much energy, due mostly to the multitude of varied shots, the extensive use of jump cuts, the constant high energy emotions of his characters, and his decisions to never stress space-time continuity. This and Potemkin are both interesting films in that there are essentially no characters, the focus falls only on the masses, a fact that perhaps represents their Communist origins.
