The Gold Rush Charlie Chaplin 1925 Originally Written 6/20/06My first Chaplin, and the oldest film I've ever seen. Suprisingly entertaining, a real marvel considering the technical limitations of the time period. Chaplin is an immensely talented comedian, actor, director, and writer; they don't make them like this guy anymore. The version I saw was the 1943 re-release with music and narration by Chaplin himself. These new additions effectively made me forget I was even watching a "silent" film.
