I'm not interested in writing film criticism or taking the time to formulate analytical essays or reviews of films. I'm more interested in spending the time creating art than criticising it, i'm an image maker, not a writer. That's why my comments are always brief. If i have the time and am asked to elaborate (and can even remember the piece well enough to) i will try do so, but mostly can't create the space in life to. I come here for viewing insipiration from a few different posters (sometimes yourself included believe it or not) and the occasional football banter with the Arsenal supporter and as somewhere to display my geeky list obsessions. It's more ike conversation here for me, than literature/writing. I know, you've said that before. I still don't care for lists of adjectives. They tend to be the same lists over and over; you have a set of positive adjectives and set of negative adjectives and you rattle them off. It's not elaboration. But whatever.

Speaking of list obsessions, you haven't posted a favorite films list in quite some time. I need viewing inspiration. Are you guys doing your FCM Awards this year? I always look forward to them, it gives me a better list of movies to watch than the Oscars etc...

Did the results for the last one ever even come out?
I would love to do it.

Ok now we're reverting to 'whatever's', you call that discussion? Like i said, i'm quite busy and will try to elaborate if asked and if i have the time. It's funny because i feel the same way about you in terms of listening. Anyone can talk, any intellectual can analyse and write film criticism, but the wise man is the one who knows how to listen. I've not proven i can write criticism, mainly because i'm not interested in it. You haven't proven you can listen to people round here and have open discussions that don't involve picking at language. The majority of people i know would have a pretty strong opinion on which one of those skills is more important to learn.

Anasazie unironically proclaims himself 'the wise man' once again.
There really are some things you can get on this board that you can't get anywhere else.

Oooh that's a hard one, how many do you want? Any rules to help me out?

I think 10 would be sufficient enough for me.
Can't think of any rules...just the films you like most.

Oooh that's a hard one, how many do you want? Any rules to help me out? Bah, who needs rules? Just find your own calling in life, my friend. Lists are as antagonistic to wisdom as are categorisations. Since when has 'listening' amounted to 'not responding to someone intellectually'? I would never have termed the grandmother in Eraserhead as a wise woman, but I guess all along she had wisdom in abundance.

RRA, stop dissecting the language of my posts with your intellect when it is clear that I mean the phrase figuratively.

I wouldn't have anything new on a top 10 list (don't know if i could even do one actually) as i haven't seen anything that'd even get close for at least 18 months! I reckon you'd be aware of anything i'd mention already. Actually....have you seen any Dovzhenko?

GO STROKE YOUR MOTHER'S CUNT. Mate you've got anger issues. It's amazing the stuff you can get away with being the moderator. You'd be banned for writing that on anyone elses message boards. I'd developed a little more respect for you over the last few months, but that's the most childish and dumb thing anyone's ever written on an internet message board and i didn't think even you could be this pathetic.

Hey Capo, which version of HAMLET and you say VIRUS, you mean that Jamie Lee Curtis monster movie?
But you're right about LEON. I mean who wasn't impressed with that POV shot at a critical emotional point, a refreshing change from an expected cliche consequence. Shows more filmatic ingenuity by Besson if you ask me than THE FIFTH ELEMENT, which in aesthetics was fun and didn't get bogged down by that logic bullshit.
The French STAR WARS I suppose.
