So, in 2009 I watched 111 films, which is roughly one in every three days. 85 of these were for the first time, which is roughly one new viewing every four days. I saw 24 films at the cinema (including the Pixar short Partly Cloudy), which is one every fifteen days or so.
In short, not enough, though I'm happy that since August I've only re-watched 2 films, out of 25.
Not counting re-watches, here's the top ten viewings that affected me most this year:
_1. London (Patrick Keiller, 1994, UK) [Jan 28] _2. Robinson in Space (Patrick Keiller, 1997, UK) [Jun 25] _3. Shoah (Claude Lanzmann, 1985, France) [Mar 16] _4. Raining Stones (Ken Loach, 1993, UK) [Jun 22] _5. Titicut Follies (Frederick Wiseman, 1967, USA) [Jun 29] _6. Fantastic Mr. Fox (Wes Anderson, 2009, USA) [Oct 30] _7. Wendy and Lucy (Kelly Reichardt, 2008, USA) [Feb 27] _8. The Browning Version (Anthony Asquith, 1951, UK) [Jul 14] _9. Garage (Leonard Abrahamson, Ireland, 2007) [Mar 30] 10. Junebug (Phil Morrison, 2005, USA) [Oct 26]

How special is a 5-star rating for you? It's not unique, it's just an excellent film all-round.

Oh, I've just watched Cracker: True Romance. Four stars.
So that's 112 for the year.

Yep, very. Now: I watched 203 films last year, which is up significantly from 146 in 2008, much to my surprise; I was sure it'd be down... A mere 15 of those films were rewatches, which is coincidentally exactly the same as last year. I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or not. Probably more pros than cons to it. 42 of those 203 films were viewed on the big screen, up from 35 in 2008.

Yeah, I downloaded them years ago and stored them on a CD, which I filed away and forgot about. Finally got around to them; a fairly interesting auteurist project overall.

It is absolutely one of the most epic piles of shit to ever be released. FFC's ideas are shallow, transparent, contrived, cheesy, and their deliveries beyond cringe-worthy. Incredibly poorly put together.

Incredibly poorly put together. Its not GF1 or 2, but its still a quite decent picture with some good stuff in it. Don't confuse Sofia with everything. So yeah I'm with Capo on this.
