I really, really liked Robinson in Space. Haven't seen London, but want to.

People think I'm crazy for doing blind buys. When I first read that I read "...doing blind guys". Then realized my error. But then... I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a thing for blind guys. Although, like Capo, it's been over a year for me as well. What the hell am I reading in this thread?

I watched the first two parts of Shoah last week, and want to buy it. Eureka's boxset seems the best, if only because of Eureka's reputation and the higher price (it includes a 184-page booklet). But amazon.co.uk's selling a Dutch set, too, which appeals more because of its much lower price. Is anybody able to push me in the direction of a site which might review this cheaper set? I've no doubt it's the full film, but if picture or sound quality is low, buying a nine-and-a-half hour documentary on the Holocaust doesn't really appeal to me.

Just ordered these online. Deep Red is a partial blind "guy" because I rented a bad disc with no subtitles, but the first 15 minutes were enough to convince me to buy it. Did you watch Deep Red? It was one of my adolescence's nightmares. Good horror movie, worthwhile if you like the genre.

I'm still learning about the Italian "Giallo" genre, but so far it's one of the better ones I've seen.

I've always loved horror in general, so discovering a new genre of Horror is exciting to me! So far I really like the style of Dario Argento's films.

I highly recommend Trouble Every Day (directed by Claire Denis) soon. I'd love to read what you think of it. I'm not a horror buff by any means, but I think it's a great film so make of that what you will :)

Thanks for the the suggestion Kino. I looked it up and the reviews and descriptions of the movie make me scared to watch it, so I will definitely watch it soon!

I've bought some bargains since Christmas and haven't remembered to update this thread. Junebug, Bonnie & Clyde, Shoah. Last week I bought this for £12 from HMV: When I got to the paying desk, I was asked for ID. " ID?" I shot back, genuinely taken aback. She seemed pretty embarrassed.

I was asked for ID when buying a pack of cigars recently, and I gave her a hard time as well. She also looked embarrassed when she saw my ID and realized I was 31 years old. I asked her, do I really look under 18 and she just mumbled and gave me my change.

Don't give em a hard time. Working at a register not too long ago, I had to ask the customers dumb questions to appease management and what not. People would give me a hard time, but all I thought about was smoking after work, not listening to a damn word.
