jrod, Zodiac's script is based on the events as portrayed in Greysmith's book. It's adapted.

I'd also have to treat Kiera Knightley as a lead in Atonement.
(Sorry for multiple posts, I'm going through these as I'm updated the Excel files.)

Also: re best costume, did we decide on 300's eligibility? It was voted for in last year's awards.

hey svsg, you've seen quite a lot of worthy films. how come you didn't nominate any more actors or actresses? interesting choice I'd also have to treat Kiera Knightley as a lead in Atonement. as Jrod is the only one - so far - who nominated her, it wouldn't really matter it was in the Supporting Character category would it? I'd say I'm undecided wether her role was leading or not. any other decisions? Julie Christie? what about Artistic Achievement, what are we actually supposed to vote for?

It wouldn't matter, really, in that category - I was just notifying jrod because his possible replacement choice could play a crucial part.

Also: re best costume, did we decide on 30's eligibility? It was voted for in last year's awards. I don't know. If it is, then so are a lot of other films. Nobody responded to this post in the Preparation thread:

I was waiting for a response.
I'll just treat all films voted for last year as ineligible.

Yeah, I've not responded (sorry) because all of the questionable films from last year aren't really relevant for me. Except perhaps Rescue Dawn, but even then I more than likely won't vote for it.
As for ineligible 2007 titles, I'd be affected by Cold Prey, Grace is Gone and You, the Living. I was gonna watch Mister Lonely and The Man From London too, but haven't got round to it.

So all IMDb 2007 titles are eligible, along with the specific IMDb 2006 titles we debated over in the other thread.
I'll have mine up soon then.

So all IMDb 2007 titles are eligible, along with the specific IMDb 2006 titles we debated over in the other thread. What's being proposed now is that, in addition to certain IMDb 2006 titles being made eligible for our 2007 awards, certain IMDb 2007 titles should be made ineligible. I don't necessarily object, but you should be aware that if we're doing this then we're going to need to compile two lists: Eligible 2006 Titles & Ineligible 2007 Titles. I more or less gave my opinion before you questioned the eligibility of certain 2007 films. although it's far from an ideal process, I think it makes more sense NOT to include 2007 films that did not have a (wide) theatrical release at all, like Grace is Gone, or 300 last year. 300, Rescue Dawn, Once, Away from her are all clearly 2007 films, even though Imdb says different. Grace is Gone is difficult as its release date was january 2007 and no 2008 date is set yet, so here is your problem. maybe some other kind of cut-off should be invented, but it seems pointless to do that now for this year's edition, it's too late for that. one might suggest that a film belongs to a certain year if "a lot of people" could have "reasonably" seen the film in that year. that would've ruled out 300 for 2006, but keeps Grace is Gone as a 2007 film. but the "-signs indicate how vague this definition is. as 99% of all our lists are not really affected by these questionable titles, perhaps we should just leave it

At present, there's a clash between Kino's leading female and Pherdy's supporting female: which is Julie Christie?
