And Wet Dog, if you want a one on one trade, how about Open Your Eyes? Okay, for Stage Fright?

Jake, another request: New York, New York for you (I've also requested it from Vercetti). Choose a film for me in return... I chose Death in Venice for you, Capo. After your short and frank post in the proview thread it seems as though you were slightly underwhelmed with Nashville. Could you share any elaborated thoughts on it please?

Yeah, my Proview doesn't quite give the film any justice either way, really; I felt underwhelmed in the sense that I had nothing really to say about it.
Nashville is blessed with a tremendous sound texture in its opening third, creating a kind of believable reality through its free camera and interweaving conversations. It struggles, however, to maintain this intensity for its self-defeating length. Two scenes resurrect this profoundness late on: when Carradine sings a heart-warming personal song with four female lovers in the room, each one unaware of the others' presence; and when Barbara Gene keeps signalling the start of a song, and then talks herself into stopping it, commenting on the coming rain and childhood memories.

I've watched both Mean Streets and The Eye.
I might watch Performance tonight, if I have time.

Unfortunately Capo, I didn't plan on getting Batman Begins, so my viewing of 2001 will be delayed. I'm not sure about tomorrow though. Maybe, maybe not.

Well Capo, I don't know if you wanna go for the last bunch from the list. I don't know if I will have any time for films this week with my Michael Mann viewings every weekday. I forgot to mention I have taped The Magnificent Ambersons and the English dubbed version of The Conformist. The latter hasn't been watched due to it's dubbing.
Five Easy Pieces The Searchers Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas White Heat

By the way, Jake, what are your thoughts on Death in Venice. Now that I've seen it (consult my Proview if you haven't already), I'd like to compare my reaction to yours. I have a feeling you'll like it more than I did.

How about Dead Man and Interiors, Jake?
Anyway, I'm gonna have to throw 2001 to next week, since my parents feel like some quality time with Cinderella Man.

Vercetti: The Wild Bunch, Primal Fear, Boys Don't Cry, The Magnificent Ambersons. I will try and fit these in, too, as well as my four requests from you, and Jake's two. I know you have a busy schedule, so just make them a priority after the Mann rewatches.

By the way Capo, I have a big feeling you'll hate Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, which I feel gets better with at least a second viewing. That second viewing is optional however
