Marty, that Marx Brothers boxset is great; no extras, though.
Driver, I think you'll love Mean Streets.
Oh, and Wet Dog; when do you plan on watching The Godfather?

Soon. Whenever it arrives. I just ordered it from Play.
I want to watch them in quick succession, probably over a weekend.

Watch them back-to-back-to-back. If you don't, you're merely an amateur.

Nine hours!? I don't know if I'm man enough for that.
My cousin wanted me to watch the extended Lord of the Rings cuts back-to-back-to-back with her. No way, José.

I watched the theatrical versions (of Lord of the Rings) back-to-back-to-back; quite something.
Actually, The Godfather would be best seen with breaks inbetween, I think.
I'm off to watch Heimat. All of it...

I searched all weekend for the Sam Peckinpah box set and the new Criterion edition of "The Bad Sleep Well". Couldn't find them. So, I got this for free instead:

What, and why, is that "2000" on the Eraserhead sleeve?

I think it's just the year the DVD was published. Strange place to put it.

Friday is ordering day. and for only 6 euro, I managed to finally pick up (one of the problems in Germany is they tend to dub rather than subtitle so I was quite pleased to find a subtitled version in original French)

Got these two in the mail today: While putting these on my shelf, I came to several realizations: 1) I have way to many films in my DVD collection. It has gotten ridiculous. 2) I have spent way to much money lately, and I'll be surprised if I have enough money for purchases in the next few months. 3) It seems like I only buy newly released DVDs, which means, what about those films I love that I don't own on DVD? Will I ever get to them? And with great films constantly being released on DVD, will I ever stop buying? My future as a DVD collector is uncertain.

Just got Le Samourai in the mail. Hopefully I'll be able to watch it tonight.

For £8.99!!! Eraserhead's one, and Phantasm's another favourite I've never seen a correctly formatted or high quality print of.
